You can add and edit taxes that you are required to charge. These taxes can be applied to item rentals, memberships and eventually the sale of goods. You can setup the following fields about each tax:
Receipt Label: This is how the tax will be listed (when applicable) on transaction receipts.
Description: This is a note for you and your organization; it is not displayed to users.
Short Name/Code: used for import/export
Rate: Enter the percentage of the tax* (ex: 5.5 for a 5.5% tax).
* Note that if you have multiple taxes that apply for one item, we do not compound them. If you need a tax compounded, please calculate the compound value and use that.
Taxes could in theory be used for other "percentage fees" you charge.
