You can setup automated due and overdue reminders by going to:
Settings -> Users -> Configure Loan Reminders
in the myTurn Admin. Click on "Enable" for the types of reminders you want to send, configure when reminders should go out and save your changes.
Important: Also, be sure your organization is not marked as "Disabled" on Settings -> Organization -> Edit Organization. If your organization is disabled, then loan reminders won't go out.
Loan Reminders: Currently Loan Reminders are sent out the day before an item is due at the time you specify. We have found that sending reminders the day before they are due is an effective way to get things back on time. Users will receive a list/reminder of all items they have out, not just the item due back.
Overdue Reminders: You can also setup overdue reminders that are sent once an item is overdue. These reminders currently run once per week and will also remind the user all the items they have out.
We will be adding options to send out reminders on other schedules (same day, multiple days before/after, etc.) in the future.
