myTurn includes advanced transfer settings that can streamline how items are moved between locations for reservations. These options reduce the steps needed at the pickup location, while maintaining visibility and control for the primary storage location.
1. Automatically receive items for reservations
When this setting is enabled:
-
Items sent to another location specifically for a reservation will be automatically marked as Received upon transfer.
-
Staff at the receiving location will no longer need to manually click “Receive” for these items.
-
Note: Items not sent for a reservation (e.g., returned home or for general relocation) must still be manually received.
2. Automatically mark items ready when received for a reservation
When this setting is enabled:
-
Items that are received for a reservation are automatically marked as Ready, making them appear in the “Added to Order” section of the Build Order page.
-
If all items for the reservation are marked ready, the reservation is automatically marked as Ready for Fulfillment—without needing to switch to the Build Order page.
-
This is especially useful when using Inventory > Receive, streamlining the preparation process.
Note: myTurn may update interface terminology in the future:
“Build Order” may become Prepare Reservation
“Added to Order” may become Items Ready
3. Using these options together
To minimize the steps required at pickup/fulfillment locations, you can combine the following settings:
-
Automatically receive items for reservations
-
Automatically mark items ready when received for a reservation
- Automatically start transfers on check in
-
Always return home first on check in
Together, these options:
-
Minimize the steps required at the pickup location for check-outs and returns
-
Allow storage location staff to manage outbound and return transfers efficiently
-
Help ensure that items are routed correctly and prepared automatically when received
